ABOUT FINANCIAL DISTRICT
Located in the center of the historic City of Boston, the Financial District is the metropolitan area’s largest office node. The Financial District features some of greater Boston’s most iconic office buildings, including 100 Federal, One International Place, and One Beacon. The office node is well served by transit, accessible through five rapid transit subway lines, and within walking distance of two of the area’s largest rail hubs: North and South Station. Other cultural landmarks like the Boston Common and Old State House, as well as retail in Faneuil Hall and the North End, give this area high appeal to office tenants.
The Financial District attracts firms from a diverse array of industries. As its name might suggest, companies in the financial sector have the largest presence here including giants like Bank of America, Wellington Management, Brown Brothers Harriman, and State Street. While these firms still dominate, tech and life science firms have headlined recent leasing. Pricey rents and a lack of available space in tech’s traditional home of East Cambridge have push many to look at the Financial District. Since 2001, Mr. Kennedy has distinguished himself as one of the top brokerage professionals in Boston. In addition to a variety of local transactions, Mr. Kennedy has established numerous long-term relationships with some of the world's largest corporations who benefit from his representation on a national level.
Most recently, Mr. Kennedy helped coordinate significant expansion assignments for Industrious, Duck Creek Technologies, LeClairRyan, AMP, Localytics and EverFi—some of the fastest growing companies in the country.
