Currently, the Utah State Prison sits directly south of the building location, however plans have been approved to relocate the prison. When the prison moves to its next location, Draper city has proposed that the old grounds be developed into the new Downtown Draper . At full development the 680-acre land will consist of retail (including a shopping mall, cinema and restaurants), commercial, light industrial, housing and a rail hub.
