This incredible, truly one of a kind offering includes an operating amusement park, event and lodging center and convenience store. Located at the South gateway to the beautiful Quartz Mountain State Park and Lake Altus-Lugert, this historic property is home to the once world-famous Craterville Amusement Park that was relocated in 1957 to this beautiful, mountain backdropped spot. The amusement park continues to be a draw for surrounding communities, open year round as weather allows. It includes a GoKart Track, Kiddie Kart Track, Bumper Cars, Kiddie Wheel, Ferris Wheel, Octopus, Tilt-a-Whirl, and the world's last remaining, operational, Roll-O-Plane, which was originally designed and used as a WWII pilot G-Force Trainer. The park also has a newly installed Snow Cone/Snack Shack(2023 insulated Polar Shed), that is air conditioned and fully functional to provide all the sweet and savory eats people crave.
The Convenience Store has recently been expanded to include a drink cooler, coffee bar and soda fountain. State Park campers use this as their go-to spot for groceries, fishing and camping gear, ice and hot & cold lunch items. Just off the store is the dump pool for the Water Slide with covered seating. The Water Slide is functional, yet not operating at this time. It has been inspected and approved for use; however, a few improvements need to be made to feel comfortable having riders. It is the only water slide in the SW OK area and has served families and large groups for years. A 1 bed/1 bath cabin sits just behind these structures that can be rented out separated or used for onsite manager/staff housing.
The dirt track and stadium, formerly known as Quartz Mountain Speedway, is located at the rear of the park and has been converted into a motocross track. The concrete stadium seating could easily come back to life with some removal of growth and minor repairs. Parking areas, RV hookups and a Pavilion with men's/women's restrooms are close by connecting it to the rest of the property.
The huge 15,000SF Event Center stays busy hosting events of all kinds; reunions, weddings, conventions, market days, church groups, etc. Its has two large, tiled gathering spaces, folding tables with chairs, and an up-to-code commercial kitchen with vent hood, able to service large numbers of guests or being a prep area for caterers. One of the spaces even has a raised stage for bands, event speakers or wedding parties. The lodging area contains multiple open rooms for smaller events or break-out sessions, large men's and women's restroom areas with commercial stalls and showers, and multiple smaller rooms that have been used as bedrooms or classrooms. With its own outside entrances and exits, it can be used separately from the Event Center if desired. Eight RV Hookups are located just off of the main parking area as well.
Just past the Event Center is a 4,000 SF solid concrete building that has been used as a lodge facility, having two large open rooms for bunks all being connected by a large restroom with stalls and showers on each side. This is the perfect setup for a large church group camp scenario. Its complete concrete structure also makes it a storm shelter for all the visitors onsite. Just behind this structure, a NextLink cellular tower has been installed and providing cell/internet to an area that otherwise cannot receive signal. 5G Wireless Internet and hardware is integrated throughout the property for its guest as part of the ground lease agreement with the provider.
