ABOUT JEWELLERY QUARTER
The Jewellery Quarter is one of Birmingham’s most vibrant districts and has long associations with the jewellery trade, with more than 40% of all jewellery in the UK still produced here. The area is centrally located within the lively city of Birmingham, which is the second largest city in the UK and the social, cultural, financial and commercial centre of the Midlands. UK Government departments like the Department for Work and Pensions and the Environment Agency make their home in the Jewellery Quarter.
Birmingham’s resident population totals 1.14 million, which is the largest in the West Midlands and one of the highest catchments in the UK. It has grown at a faster rate than the national average over the past decade.
