King rooms are available with king size bed. Ice and soda machines are available on the premises. There is an on-site restaurant featuring Mexican food. Classic Inn is a great place to stay if you are visiting Waldo or Alachua County. Located approximately 12 miles north of Gainesville at the intersection of US Hwy. 301 and County Road 24 (Waldo Road), it is 7 miles from the Winston Dragstrip Raceway, making Classic Motel one of the closest accommodations to the track. Special events fill up fast! The motel is within easy driving distance of the Gainesville Airport, the University of Florida, and Shands Hospital. The Amtrak station in Waldo is within walking distance. There are a variety of things to see and do in the area. Gainesville is a short distance away, making the motel a convenient place to stay if you are attending University of Florida events or visiting someone at Shands Hospital. Homecoming, major football games, and graduation are considered special events, so reservations should be made early and rates are higher. The Gator Nationals also draw huge crowds to the area as do other races. The Waldo Flea Market is just down the road and is a great place to visit.
