About 18183 Main St , Jamestown, CA 95327
Physical Property – All plumbing, electrical, insulation and woodwork are in excellent condition. The main structure dates mostly from 1927, which was damaged due to fire at that time. This portion includes: 2 dining rooms, saloon & front desk, basement, bathrooms, commercial kitchen, walk-in, wait stations and office. The rear addition includes the dish wash area, pantry, chef’s office, storage and employee bath and dates from 1985-86. The manager’s home, workshop, wine storage, liquor storage, catering, banquet and storage rooms, have all received complete restoration/remodel work (2011- 2014). Non-mandatory sprinkler systems are active throughout the hotel and are in the process of being installed on the ground floor. Saloon/registration area has 9 bar stools & table seating for 12 and a hotel registration desk. The basement below the bar has a concrete floor and contains bar equipment in addition to serving as non-liquor/wine storage for the bar. Exterior of main building is kiln-dried redwood heart, over 1 ½ rigid insulation, which covers the exterior walls of approximately 10” of reinforced concrete. Windows are mostly dual-paned Anderson with 20 pane appearance. The roof of the main building is quite unusual, in that it is a metal roof, composed of copper/tin alloys. Does not rust and would be quite expensive to install today. Cooling systems are ducted evaporative cooling, composed of 3 units and is the latest such technology using a Master Cool system. In January 2009, entire operation was closed to allow a complete remodel of the kitchen and dish wash areas. The nine guest rooms are restored to the Gold Rush era, and each has: private bath with tiled showers, basins, pull-chain toilets, modern heat & cooling and TV cable, rooms insulated for sound and heat and fully furnished with quality antiques. Hotel has a soaking room with large antique 2 person tub, brass fixtures, hotel balcony (built mostly out of redwood heart) & housekeeping/storage rooms, in addition to modern washing/drying equipment. The two dining rooms have 18 tables and related furnishings, much of it antique in nature. Kitchen is modern with mostly Wolf cooking equipment and True & Traulsen refrigeration and includes: ranges with dual ovens, bread proofer, salamander, steam table, 3 reach-ins, 2 reach-in freezers, walk-in, steam table, pre-rinse & dishwashing station, etc. Patio includes 10 tables with seating for 40-50, under an arbor that was remodeled in 2013.
