Cheyney University is the nation’s first historically black university, founded in 1837. The campus is located in Thornbury Township, one of the most desirable communities in the Commonwealth, extending into both Chester and Delaware counties. The University encompasses 275 acres. The University just secured the development of a community oriented active sports and recreation facility as a part of its newly transformed corporate education campus Beautiful campus with two central campus squares, an academic square and a business development/student training square.
