Karl Baldauf, an executive managing director with Newmark, specializes in office property leasing in the San Francisco central business district. With 32 years of experience in the industry, he has a unique perspective that reflects his successful careers in both traditional brokerage and with the significant San Francisco and national landlord, the Shorenstein Company. In 2005 he joined the regional office of Cornish & Carey in San Francisco as a founding partner. He helped grow that office’s agency and tenant representation practices, culminating in the successful merger with Newmark in 2014.

Richard B. Hayes joined McCarthy Cook & Company in May, 2007 as Vice President, Leasing, Northern California. He is responsible for the leasing and marketing of the 900,000 square foot China Basin project in the Mission Bay submarket of San Francisco.
Prior to joining McCarthy Cook, Richard spent six years with Equity Office Properties leasing Class A office product in the Peninsula, East Bay, North Bay and San Jose submarkets where he completed 1,700,00 square feet of lease transactions and was involved in 1.,600,000 square feet of acquisitions and 1,500,000 square feet of dispositions. Prior to Equity Office, Richard performed corporate services at both Cushman & Wakefield and CB Richard Ellis providing services for clients such as Fritz Companies and DuPont. Richard started his real estate career as a broker in San Francisco with Colliers International. Cumulatively, Richard has completed over 5,000,000 square feet of lease transactions representing both corporate tenants and institutional real estate owners.
