The interim zoning placed on the property is SFR-1-B (Single Family Rural). However, the city stated their future plan use for the site is Future Area Employment Center zoning, which allows for virtually all business commercial zoning. This means the city is ready and willing to rezone it accordingly for a new user. The land is currently being used as commercial and is grand fathered in at this time. According to the city, the zoning timeline for Leander right now is about 60 days from the time an application is submitted to the approval. There is a major thoroughfare that has been approved and will go right in front of the site on Hero Way.
