This place was once frequented by the likes of Al Capone and Louis Chevrolet and was the place to be. It could be again. once you see the sunrise over the lake, or see the eagles soar overhead, or catch a big bass or two, you will understand why. Nyona lake is just a mile and a half off US 31 but you would never know it while you are sitting lakeside watching the sunrise from the back deck/outdoor seating area at the LakeSide kitchen. the location is fantastic if you have a reason for people to come. only 11 miles to Rochester. population 6,000: only 35 miles to Warsaw. population 15,000: only 36 miles to Kokomo. population 57,000: only 32 miles to Wabash. population 10,000: only 18 miles to peru. population 11,000 you get the idea. the lake is secluded but easy to get to. There is currently a full service restaurant including a beer and wine license. there is also a bait shop and convenience store. the parking lot is huge and there is frontage on both the lake and main st. The restaurant building is 2368 sq ft indoors. the bait shop is another 1856 sq ft. the possibilities are endless.
