AREA INFORMATION Tampa is a major city located on the west side of Florida, on Tampa Bay, near the Gulf of Mexico. Tampa has a metropolitan area with a population of 2.7 million people, making it the second largest metropolitan area in the Florida, and the fourth largest in the southeast behind Miami, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. Tampa is home to three professional sports teams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL) which is located just south of the property, Tampa Bay Lightening (NHL), and the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB). Tampa is home to over 165 parks and beaches, covering 2,286 acres, as well as a number of attractions and theme parks.
