Azu Restaurant and Bar in downtown Ojai has been a central gathering place for nearly 20 years. Chef Laurel Moore had a vision to bring Spanish cuisine to Ojai, so she created Azu, Ojai's original California tapas bar. In the lovingly restored 1910 building, constant refinement has created a warm, creative atmosphere with inventive dishes and spectacular beverages. Azu is place where foodies and families alike can enjoy casual sophistication, local flavors and an extensive wine list. Azu has multiple dining areas with 160 seats. In front is a full bar with tables, sidewalk dining, and a fireplace dining room. In back is a private dining room, a bar and a garden patio. There are 2 kitchens, one for regular dining and one for private events. Azu is frequently used as an event venue, working closely with local hotels for private dining needs. The large private dining area with full bar and garden is the perfect place to host welcome dinners, weddings, corporate events, and birthdays.
