Jeannette, PA is a city in Westmoreland County, 27 miles East of Pittsburgh, PA. The city has a population of 9,245 residents. While known as “the glass city” in its initial founding for numerous glass plants founded in the area, today it is known for the HQ of reputable Elliott Company, founded in 1914. Elliot Company designs, manufactures, installs, and provides full service to the dynamo, turbine, and large rotating equipment industry. Other major employers are Jensen Steam Engine Mfg. Company and Pennsylvania Rubber Works, since 1903.
