About Miami Airport

The area around Miami International Airport, located west of downtown Miami, holds the largest supply of office inventory in the Miami market. The area presents a centrally located and affordable alternative for occupiers, with asking rents typically below the Miami average.

The area provides easy access for commuters via Florida's Turnpike on the western edge, the Palmetto Expressway through its center, and the Dolphin Expressway running east to west on its southern edge. Local public transport is available through the Metrorail and bus service, allowing employees to commute in from several different areas in Miami-Dade and broader South Florida.

This area has a high concentration of services, transportation, public utilities, finance, insurance, and real estate tenants, which benefit from proximity to Miami International Airport and can draw from a nearby talent pool based in the western suburbs of Miami. Major tenants located here include Norwegian Cruise Lines, Crown Castle International, Amadeus North America, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The largest office node in the area is Blue Lagoon, a narrow strip of land between Miami International Airport and Flagami, holding close to one-third of the area's office space. About a quarter of the area's remaining office space is located in Doral, a fast-growing city and one of Miami's apartment construction hotspots. Brian is Vice Chairman of Cushman and Wakefield of Florida. Through his 29 year career, Brian has overseen the signing of leases totaling over 18 million square feet, with a value of close to $3 billion.
