Minimal cultivation, limited fertilizer and chemical applications required due to favorable soil structure and soil microbiology. Slopes are predominantly South facing. Some cliffs Growing Season averages 17 hours sunlight, 31 degrees Fahrenheit diurnal swing Plantings are all own rooted. Cabernet Sauvignon: 35.6 Acres, Clones 4, 6 & 8. Merlot: 21.1 Acres, Clone 3. Chardonnay: 22.2 Acres, Clones believed to be Wente or Prosser. Syrah: 15.2 Acres, Phelps Clone. Other: 6+ Acres are planted to Gewurztraminer, Alicante Bouschet, Petite Syrah and Petit Verdot and some experimental clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Malbec. Controlled drip irrigation provides the water needed at critical stages, to control growth and canopy size, and to maximize fruit quality.
