SC&H Capital has been retained to find an immediate buyer for Project Aqua (“Aqua” or the “Company”), a 31-year-old boat manufacturer with a dominant share of the Gulf Coast market. Founded in 1992 and acquired by current ownership in 2017, the Company is known for its fishing and pontoon boats. Aqua’s fishing boats include shallow water and inshore boats that are sold across the Gulf Coast states and Mid-Atlantic. The fishing boats also include hybrid and blue water vessels primarily sold in Florida and the Mid-Atlantic. The Company’s pontoon line is primarily used in freshwater lakes and inland water ways across the South and Mid-Atlantic. Additionally, having completed nearly all pre-market prototyping and testing, Aqua is well positioned to introduce a new model in an adjacent category and expand its niche market dominance. Throughout its history, the Company has successfully designed and launched innovative boats, expanded its dealer network to include over 60 dealers spanning 17 states, and grown annual revenue to $46.5 million. Aqua manufactures both of its brands out of its owned production facility with 150,000 ft2 of manufacturing space and 6,500 ft2 of office space.
