About Wirral
Despite being surrounded by water, the Wirral Peninsula has good transport connections to Liverpool and the wider North West. Two road tunnels run from Birkenhead to Liverpool, connecting to the M53 motorway that runs down the spine of the Wirral to Cheshire. As such, it is an attractive warehouse destination.
Logistics operators are amongst the largest occupiers here, including Great Bear Distribution and Abbey Logistics Group, each occupying significant amounts of industrial space on the peninsula. Focal points of the Wirral industrial market, which cater for a wide variety of occupiers, include a cluster of industrial estates around Birkenhead port, such as Valley Business Park and Maritime Business Park, and in Bromborough, there is another cluster of industrial parks.
