DESCRIPTION
Kings Dock comprises a former dockon the River Mersey in Liverpool and formed part of the Port of Liverpool. It is situated in the southern dock system, connected to Wapping Dock to the north and Queen’s Dock to the south. The site was extensively redeveloped in 2008 as a perfect example of brownfield regeneration and now forms part of the central section of Liverpool’s world heritage waterfront. Kings Dock now provides significant leisure, residential and conference facilities which include the 11,000-seat capacity M&S Bank Arena, Exhibition and Convention Centre comprising 38,000 sq ft and a 1,350 seat conference auditorium, 1,450 space multi-storey car park (currently being developed), central public plaza, 1,800 residential housing units, and two 3-star plus hotels, along with the 4-star luxury Pullman Liverpool Hotel.
