About the Property
Acquired in 2013, Ealing Broadway is a mixed use asset, with over 400,000 sq ft of retail space as well as 130,000 sq ft of office space. The centre is home to some 85 retail and leisure units including a 70,000 sq ft Primark, a Marks & Spencer, Pandora, Next and River Island. There is also a library, a Nuffield Health gym and the office space is multi-let with occupiers including HMRC. A comprehensive refurbishment was completed in 2015 which included improvements to the existing malls, enhanced lighting, new shop fronts, signage and wayfinding, and new toilet facilities. The Town Square has become an attractive hub for community activities, including a monthly artisan market, a Christmas market, art and crafts sessions for children and the Broadway beach in the summer. The 800 space car park has also been upgraded with better lighting, CCTV and more efficient ticketing services. The food and leisure offer includes Wagamama, Wasabi, Turtle Bay - a Caribbean restaurant and bar, Limeyard - an all-day café, bar and restaurant concept and Chicken Shop (part of the Soho House group). Overall, around 30% of the scheme has been re-let since acquisition. International House at Ealing Broadway is also one of a number of sites across the British Land portfolio to provide flexible workspace through Storey, British Land’s flexible workspace brand. The combined schemes are located in the centre of Ealing, benefiting from excellent transport infrastructure, with access to the underground and mainline railway station and the Elizabeth line when it opens, greatly improving journey times to the City, West End and Heathrow.
