BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Motivated seller

This is a niche business that does well in good times and bad and is needed in many different markets such as home owners, home buyers, home sellers, property managers, hotels, motels, flippers, real estate agents, real estate investors... and the list goes on.
Tearing out bathtubs and tile is not cost effective for many customers and refinishing is the alternative.
Because all work is done indoors on customer sites it is a perfect fit for a home based business or as an add-on for an existing home remodeling business. The weather is not a major factor that will impact the business.
The work involved is not strenuous as it would be in other areas such as roofing for example. Pick and choose which customers you want to work with, set your own hours and schedule.
With my wifes illness I've had to cut back my work hours to 4 half days a week and I'm still making good money.
Pinellas County is the most populated county in the state with many older homes that need this type of service and is the perfect location for this business.
A license is not required for this business.

Facilities
As a home based business space requirements are minimal. It can easily be run out of a garage or storage space. Included in the sale are a pickup truck, one ten foot enclosed trailer, Spray equipment and hand tools.
Competition
Home remodeling is a hot market and competition in this particular niche is limited. Due to recent hurricanes many homes will need bathroom refinishing services once other repairs are done Untrained people that do refinishing have a high failure rate. On the other side there are franchises that charge much higher prices because of the overhead and fees they have to pay. I make it known that I am not the cheapest or the most expensive.
Growth & Expansion
In the past I had up to 2 crews doing refinishing. Getting more aggressive with marketing, adding countertops and cabinet refinishingwould increase the business. Due to wife health issues I'm working a part-time schedule grossing $3-4,000 per week . A full time schedule can book 5k to 6k per week. The above financial figures from 2023 when I took the year off and a contractor was used to for all of the jobs and paid 85K. A large portion of this figure would ordinarily be reflected as an addition to the cash flow figure.
Financing
20k cash & assume SBA loan of $275k, payments of $1,394.00 per month
Support & Training
There will be in-depth hands on training. You will learn all aspects of the business and do actual customer jobs so you are proficient in everything you need to know. In addition to the above I'm available for 6 months after the sale to answer any questions or help you deal with any issues that come up that you are not sure how to resolve.
Reason for Selling
Wife had two strokes and I have to cut back on work to take care of her.
