BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Sold

This business is sold.
This is a turn-key 1800 square-foot commercial kitchen that maintains two focuses for business. One is a full commissary kitchen that companies use to prep food for retail, wholesale, markets, etc. The second part is cooking classes. We have done youth camps all summer long, adult wine/beer dinners, regional cuisine, cook like a pro series, and kids night out. Most classes have been full with waitlists. We are licensed with Deschutes County and most commissary users are licensed with Oregon Department of Agriculture. Classes don't have to be a part of the business, but are available if you are interested. This would include all contacts from previous classes, recipes, website, etc. You could also use the kitchen for your own catering, retail, food cart, etc. The commissary part pays the bills and makes some money so your business can be more profitable. We put $90,000 in equipment and build-out to make this a very functional and spacious kitchen. The depreciation value of the equipment is reflected in the asking price. Please feel free to call or email with any questions you have.

Facilities
There is a large kitchen space, a front room, and an office. Included in the sale is all of the kitchen equipment that belongs to the business.
Competition
There is one other major commissary kitchen in bend. There is a need for more than what Bend currently has to offer for commissary use. There is a huge need and desire for the cooking classes because there are not a lot of other people doing them.
Growth & Expansion
There is a lot of room for growth with the cooking classes if you had more than one person teaching. Youth camps have been full all summer long and could easily add more camps because there isn't really anyone else doing them. I am currently turning away a lot of business in people wanting to take classes. There is some room for growth with the commissary part of the business.
Support & Training
I would be happy to spend time to train on how I did classes, how I run the commissary, etc.
Reason for Selling
I got hurt and can no longer do the classes.
