BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Well-run, fully-staffed, perfect condition, great lease. I own dozens of Great Clips salons, and each year I sell off one or two of my lower volume ones. There’s nothing wrong with this store except that it's only marginally profitable right now. Why? Partly because I opened this salon in March of 2020 (at the start of COVID) and the salon never had a proper Grand Opening. Partly because the salon had a bad manager for two years. That said, it's an "A" site in a fairly high-volume Publix Shopping Center. The salon just needs some TLC and a little time to grow/mature. My challenge is that I own a lot of stores and have a large infrastructure/overhead, so I don't have the time or bandwidth to nurse/develop this salon into a cash cow.

Great Clips is the #1 hair salon brand in the world with over 4,500 salons. A proven business model that consistently ranks at the top of Entrepreneur Magazine’s top 100 franchises. According to their FDD Item 19, Great Clips salons average about $300K and earn $60K/yr (some do better, some do worse). A new salon costs about $200K to build plus another $50K in negative cashflow the first year. Breakeven on a salon is at about $200K in sales.

I'm selling this store for less than half of what it'd cost to build new. Atlanta is a closed DMA for Great Clips Inc (they're not accepting new franchisees), so the only way for someone to get into this brand is to buy an existing store. Buying this salon would be a very affordable way to get into the market. And if you'd like, I'd even be willing to sell a second nearby salon.
