Spinball Sports manufactures a range of pitching machines for baseball, softball, and cricket including the industry leading iPitch® smart machine. Spinball machines are used by 29 of 30 Major League teams, dozens of NCAA Division I teams, and hundreds of high schools. Spinball has built a reputation as a technical leader in the field as evidenced by relationships with Rawlings, Driveline, Trackman, HitTrax, Rapsodo, and Allstar video simulators, all of whom chose to work with Spinball over much larger and more established competitors.

SALES / PROFITS
2023 sales were $3.47M, up 24% from 2022. Net cash flow (LLC profits + salary & rent paid to owner) was $713k. Adding back interest, taxes, and depreciation brings adjusted EBITDA to $799k.

Sales through October 2024 were $2.87M, a 5% decrease over the same period in the previous year. Adjusted EBITDA for the period was down 9% from 2023 at $698k.

Spinball’s ten year average annual sales growth from 2014-2024 is 30%.

Spinball’s production facility is a single story steel building located at 900 White Oak, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864. It was originally built as 3200 sf in 2011, then expanded to 8000 sf in 2019, and 14,000 sf in 2024. It is fully climate controlled and includes a full size batting cage with turf and a 1200 sf office area. It is situated on 3.5 acres in an industrial park, ready for future expansion. Sale includes all shelving, tools, and equipment, including a 2023 fork truck.
Competition
Five major competitors: Jugs, ATEC, Sports Attack, Sports Tutor, Trajekt. Jugs: big name, full range of low to mid level designs. ATEC: owned by Wilson, full range of low to mid designs. Sports Attack: Top MLB supplier, mid-high range, tech not as advanced as Spinball's. Sports Tutor: More of a tennis company, mid range, tech is outdated. Trajekt: Tech leader with full simulators only, but their system costs over 40X the Spinball iPitch.
Growth & Expansion
1) Trajekt clone - The Trajekt simulator leases to MLB teams for $180-240k per year and there are approximately 50 in the field. The Spinball version will cost under $50k to build, and sell for $200-250k, so full MLB replacement would result in $10-12M in additional sales and possibly eliminate a competitor who was counting on long term lease income. 2) Top Golf of Baseball - Video simulators with performance feedback. Could either expand into the batting cage market, or supply equipment for others. 3) Add other sports. 4) Add marketing.
