An In-home Respite Care Company has employees who basically need little supervision, and go into family homes to care for their children who are the Autism Spectrum. We are funded by a nonprofit organization call The Regional Center of Orange County in CA. They are funded by the state who are funded by the government. We are vendors who get referrals from the regional center and then are paid according to the amount of hours we get from the referrals. We have been in operation since 2011, and even with the struggles of COVID we have continued to make a profit. At 70 years of age, I want to move on. With the ever increasing numbers of people on the spectrum, there will continue to be an increasing need for services, and since as vendors we make the majority of income from referral, we do not need to advertise, but advertisement would even increase income due to financially secure families using the service.
