BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Some states are known for bad weather. Nebraska is known for its hail. And where there is hail, there is a need for roof patching and repair. Weather-related emergencies affect both commercial and residential accounts, with hailstorm repairs being the largest storm-related business. Approximately 95% of hail storm customers return year after year. And 5% of these roll into full roof replacements

Established in 1956, the Company has decades-long relationships with homeowners, businesses, and public entities like schools, city buildings, and hospitals. Every year, they come back because they love the quality and the service the Company provides. Good honest work, strong effort, and quality results. The current owner took over the business in 2004.

The weather was down in 2022 and 2023, leading to lower revenue. January and February 2024 are already ahead of where they were last year, with the strong snow and hailstorms that hit Nebraska as part of the blizzard storm system that hit most of the country.

The Company employs a staff of 25 experts with 6 estimators, in addition to the owner. In addition to estimating, the owner’s role is mainly managerial in nature. The newest estimator has been with the Company for 12 years. The Buyer is stepping into a business with a stable crew and deep relationships with 2 subcontractors, which will help make the transition easy.

The Company has a different take on equipment than most other roofing companies do. Rather than renting equipment as needed, making it difficult to take on emergency jobs and including a huge markup on costs, the Company owns most of the equipment they use. This saves them time, allows their staff to learn and improve their skills on the machines, and eliminates markups that come with renting.

There’s room for growth within the Company. The sale includes $10,000 in inventory, $1,750,000 in assets, and $650,000 in real estate.

The Company has about two years' worth of work booked. They have approximately $11M in insurance jobs and an additional $5M in large jobs, including city and college hail damage work.

The Business has built a following with customers coming back year after year.
