One-on-One Assisted Stretching Studio
StretchLab is a One-on-One assisted Stretching studio. It is primarily member based; however, we do have clients who use our services on an as needed basis through the purchase of our different package options or walk ins, which are higher revenue generators!
Our member base is made up of all ages, and they come to StretchLab for all different needs. Since consistent stretching helps with Flexibility, Mobility, Posture, Aches and Pains as well as Sports Performance and Injury Prevention! Stretching is beneficial for every body, and everyone!
The key is, you can stretch yourself, but it is nothing compared to a skilled Flexologist using the PNF technique to stretch you! It's a game changer!
What is a "Flexologists" these are the worker bees! They are trained "Stretch Practitioners", as I like to call them, that customize each Stretch Session to our member's needs. No two Sessions are the same since no two members are, they all have a different reason why they come to StretchLab!
How does it work?
Members are initially assessed by our Flex on their first visit, with help by our MAPS machine which creates a 3-D image of how the members body currently moves. That information along with their first visit assessment Stretch is what the Flex uses to create a game plan of progress for the membership. Most members come in weekly, or twice a week for their Stretch. We also offer Normatec compression therapy to our members, they can enjoy it during their stretch session or on its own. This service is currently complementary, but many studios do charge for this service, and that would create additional net revenue for the new owner.
It's a simple business model, without a lot of moving parts; Your member leads are warm leads, they are generated through digital ads as well as organic outreach, or pop ups, with local business and member referrals.
Most studios have an Assistant manager, who works under the guidance of the owner or a general manager who runs the daily operations of the studio and oversees the Sales Associates.
A successful studio will also have a lead Flexologist who oversees the "Lab" i.e. the Flex's working with the members, and who also works hand in hand with the AM, or GM to ensure continuity in the studio.
For the most part it runs itself. I personally check in with my General Manager and Lead Flex once a week, give or take, on a zoom call or in person to go over our "Dashboard" which is a flash report, per se. We work together to set Weekly and Monthly growth goals, plan of action, etc.
It is a very gratifying business to have so many people come in with their reasons why they searched us out, only then to watch them achieve what they were after; less aches and pains, better mobility or flexibility or a better golf swing, or the simplicity of being able to bend over to just tie their shoes!
