A great business for 33 years and still growing. I started working on Subarus in 1979 at the dealer in Santa Cruz. In 1988 the dealership changed owners and all the mechanics were let go. I worked for an independent shop until August of 1991 when I opened my business. It took six to seven years to build a solid mostly Subaru customer base, (we do work on a small amount of Toyota's and Honda's). We have many customers that have been with us for 33 years. We now see their children and grand children. Our customers are like friends and family to us.I have learned so much over the years on running a shop. By working on one make of car we are able to learn about recurring problems and many tricks to fix problems that most shops don't want to deal with. I feel that we are able to really take care of our customers. We stock most parts for doing services and repairs witch allows us to complete most jobs the same day. We also keep a good relationship with the dealer for parts and warranties.A few years ago we started doing tires for our customers My goal for selling the business if possible is to find someone to carry on taking care of our customers. There is room to grow, we have three car lifts so a third mechanic would work well and some advertising would increase business. We have never advertised and are booking two to three weeks in advance. A 5 year lease is available. All part, special tools, computers and equipment are included in the sale. We expanded to a bigger shop 8 years ago with better parking.
