During the past 12 years, Alan Cerro has been consulting for closely held real estate partnerships providing expertise on the viability of potential land and building acquisitions. He also has provided counsel on obtaining property entitlements, structuring leases, and supervising property management and homeowners’ associations. In addition to his role as a founding partner of Dutra-Cerro-Graden, Alan is a Managing Partner of Lighthouse Development Company, LLC, which was founded in 2000 to focus attention on real estate development in California’s Central Valley. He is also the co-owner and CEO of San Mateo-based C & V Investment Company. Alan’s career in real estate began in high school when he managed property for his father’s real estate development firm and has evolved to include his involvement in a significant number of residential and commercial development projects. In residential development, he has taken part in the successful completion and sale of a number of mid-size subdivisions in California’s Central Valley. He has been directly involved in the development and construction of more than 200 homes with an additional 75 custom lots sold at final map. He also has been active in commercial real estate development with more than 270,000 square feet of commercial properties developed, sold or leased. He also developed, funded, and constructed the Central Self Storage facility in Atwater, CA with 85,000 square feet of storage space. Alan earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the University of California-Berkeley. He is Series 7 licensed for General Securities through the National Association of Securities Dealers as well as Series 65 licensed for “fee only” asset management and custodial supervision of third party funds. Alan is active in his church where he leads a ministry outreach that provides moving assistance to women and the elderly. He currently serves as Vice President of the Washington Township Historical Society and has previously served on the Board of Directors of The Niles Main Street Association, a not-for-profit community organization devoted to the historic preservation and economic revitalization of Fremont’s historic Niles District.
