As Senior Vice President – Investments, Mr. Shapiro is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and closing all Company acquisitions. Since joining the Company in 1997, Mr. Shapiro and his acquisition and research team have closed over $3 billion of real estate investments consisting of office, industrial, retail and multi-family properties located throughout the U.S. Mr. Shapiro is also responsible for all property valuations. Prior to joining Glenborough, he spent 14 years as Director of Asset Management and Equity Sales with Aetna Life Insurance Company where he managed a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.
Mr. Shapiro received a BS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
