Alan R. West is a seasoned real estate professional with 50 years of dynamic and focused experience. He has been an active Real Estate Broker throughout his entire business career, and has had extensive experience in the negotiation of leases, acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate properties, representing many of the Fortune 500 corporations, as well as the private sector. Additionally, he has brokered the successful purchases of land to developers for various developments of Industrial, Office, Multifamily Residential, and Mixed-Use projects. Over the past 25 years, he has been involved with and/ or responsible for over $2.0 Billion in real estate transactions.
Mr. West has represented major clients such as Eastman Kodak Company, Johnson & Johnson Company, Harry M. Stevens, Samsung Electronics Corporation, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the New Jersey Transit Authority. Additionally, Mr. West has been involved in the sale of over 3,000+ acres of property that provided for the ultimate development of over 10 million square feet of commercial construction.
In the State of Florida, Mr. West represented the purchaser in the disposition of the Crown America Development Office Portfolio (Fort Lauderdale), represented both sides in the disposition of the Inverrary Garden Apartments (Lauderhill) and Lakeview Garden Apartments (Oakland Park), the disposition and relocation of ABB, Inc.’s T&D Division Headquarters (Coral Springs), and the disposition of the Racal Datacom, Inc.’s National Headquarters (Sunrise) to a major REIT for repositioning. Mr. West also acted as exclusive Broker on behalf of UrbanAmerica, L.P. as purchaser, in consummated the sale of 9 Retail and Office Properties totaling 675,500 square feet valued at over $43,000,000, in an 18-month period. Finally, he uniquely sold an existing/operating K-Mart store property to Walmart Stores, Inc. He presently represents Kimco Realty, Florida Crystal Corporation, The Related Companies, Elad National Properties and many private investors and Institutions on various acquisitions throughout South Florida.
Mr. West holds active real estate brokerage licenses in Florida and New Jersey, as well as a Florida Mortgage Brokerage license. Mr. West's land expertise placed him in the position to represent Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. in New Jersey on the M.S.M. Regional Council which was formed to establish the future development of all open spaces throughout the State of New Jersey. Presently, he sits on the Boca Raton Community Appearance Board (CAB).
Mr. West holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from The State University at New York at Buffalo.
