Bio
Alejandro Szita has been doing mortgage loans and real estate transactions in California since 2006. He specializes in helping business owners, artists and other self-employed professionals solve out-of-the-box real estate financing challenges. Alejandro is a California and Florida mortgage broker and a California real estate broker. He is a member of the Association of Independent Mortgage Experts, the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the Pacific West Association of Realtors He is a graduate of the Infinite Banking Concept Practitioner Course, and a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist®. Growing up in a family of high-end fashion entrepreneurs in Chile, Alejandro was fascinated by the topic of financing and its relationship to running a business. After working in the family business and studying Economics in Santiago, Alejandro gained work experience in Australia, New Zealand and the UK before settling in Southern California in 1994. In 2006, Alejandro started both as a real estate agent and loan officer (at the time under the same license). He later worked for over 10 years as a commercial and luxury residential real estate agent under a prominent Santa Monica real estate broker. He became familiar with many different real estate scenarios relevant to business owners, artists and entrepreneurs. During this time, he also raised private equity for a Commercial Real Estate fund for 10 years. In 2018, he co-founded his own real estate brokerage, Prosperity Real Estate, with his partner Thisbe Ongania. In 2021, they added real estate financing to the offerings under the name Prosperity Lending. The financing side quickly grew into the company’s main line of business. “Business owners are out-of-the-box, creative people,” says Alejandro. “I love working with them and helping them realize their dreams. They are an underserved market in the lending industry, and over the years I have been fortunate to acquire the wide diversity of knowledge that has enabled me to step into this gap. I consider it an honor that many of my clients have made me their go-to finance guy.” Alejandro is a regular guest on podcasts about real estate and entrepreneurship, dispelling mortgage myths and sharing real estate tips for self-employed borrowers. He continually keeps up-to-date with the latest developments in the real estate and mortgage markets.
