Andre P. Smith is an accomplished real estate professional with over 20 years in the industry. He has expertise in many areas including sales, marketing, management and training. Mr. Smith represents clients in the sale, purchase and lease of residential and commercial real estate. These transactions have included industrial, retail, office and other various income producing properties. He has a special interest in land investment, site selection, mixed-use development and multi-family properties.
In 1999, Mr. Smith's real estate career blossomed as he actively represented buyers and sellers of real estate within the Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD metropolitan regions.
In 2006 Mr. Smith obtained his real estate brokers license and formed Visions Signature Properties, an independent brokerage in Greenbelt, Maryland. As the principal broker, he managed the strategic planning, agent relations and the day to day operations of the 25 agent firm.
As a testament to his commitment to education, Mr. Smith has obtained various industry certifications, such as Credit Smart certification, Workforce Housing certification and Diversity in Housing certification.
He currently serves the industry as a real estate instructor, speaker, coach and trainer. Mr. Smith has received numerous awards and certificates. He has maintained membership in the Distinguished Sales Club through the Prince Georges County Association of Realtors since 2004. This membership requires real estate professionals to maintain a minimum of 2.5 million in annual real estate sales.
In an effort to improve the standard of professionalism in the real estate industry Mr. Smith, co-founded the Independent Brokers Alliance (IBA). The IBA is an organization of independent real estate companies charged with developing and implementing infrastructure systems to leverage shared resources to increase each company's effectiveness. The IBA is critical in helping independent real estate brokers better manage operations, improve marketing effectiveness, maximize recruiting efforts and define training modules.
In 2008, Mr. Smith combined Signature Properties with Horizon Real Estate Group to become Horizon Signature Properties. Currently, Mr. Smith serves as the Managing Partner of Horizon Signature Properties. Together the companies have grown to 50 realtors, closed over 225 transactions and produced nearly 20 million dollars of gross real estate sales over the last 3 years.
