Bio
Andrew Taub is an Associate Director at Newmark’s New York headquarters, where he specializes in the representation of both tenants and owners in retail leasing transactions.
With his comprehensive knowledge of the city’s commercial real estate market, Taub is able to provide tenants with strategy, advice and assistance for meeting their real estate requirements. He also relies on his retail prowess to assist owners in finding the most suitable and creditworthy tenants. Taub has worked with such tenants as MedMen, which he helped secure its New York flagship at 433 Fifth Avenue, and Gregorys Coffee, which he currently represents in its expansion throughout the greater New York area. He represented Din Tai Fung in securing 25,000 square feet at 1633 Broadway for its first east coast restaurant. He also represents Metropolitan Bank and helped the tenant secure its new midtown branch at 1431 Broadway.
As an owner representative, Taub currently represents or has represented New York-based GFP Real Estate, Related Companies, Gould Investors L.P., Rosemark Management, Stonehenge LLC, The Olnick Organization, and MarshMcLennan, among others. On behalf of GFP Real Estate, he successfully leased newly constructed retail space at 100 Pearl Street for Urban Space’s first FiDi location, as well as completing transactions with Aritzia at 560 Broadway, and Wilson and Athleta at 594 Broadway. In Times Square, Taub represented Rosemark Management in its leasing of space at 1501 Broadway to both Taco Bell and Raising Canes for their respective New York City flagships. Other transactions in which Taub represented Landlords include Citi Bank’s renewal at 1166 Avenue of the Americas, CVS’s new Flatiron location at 130 Fifth Avenue, and Bond Vet at both 350 Amsterdam and 555 Sixth Avenue.
Additionally, Taub was named one of Newmark’s Rising Stars two years in a row, in 2020 and 2021.
