Barrett Stern is Founding Principal at B Stern CRE LLC, which he formed in 2023, bringing 49 years of experience as a top commercial real estate broker and advisor to landlords, tenants and investors in the New York and New Jersey area. Barrett has broad expertise, having completed over 1,300 leasing, sales and consulting transactions aggregating over 12,000,000 Square Feet. He is currently agent for over 800,000 square feet of office space in Manhattan. Clients and peers recognize his extensive experience, high real estate intellect, and know him as an inventive, hands-on, detail-oriented and effective problem solver. Stern has been a leading broker in all his previous positions. He served as Executive Managing Director at Newmark and Grubb & Ellis for 19 years, Principal of Broadwall Brokerage and Consulting (which he founded and sold to Murray Hill Properties) for 17 years, Vice President at Helmsley-Spear for 8 years, and he started his commercial real estate career at Williams Real Estate in 1974. Stern is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Barrett was born and raised in Manhattan and has always been drawn to commercial real estate leasing and sales. He enjoys helping people and companies effectively plan for and implement quality real estate decisions that complement their business plans. He started in real estate at age 21 and has been continuously licensed in New York and New Jersey for his entire career.
