Betsy's real estate career has included the supervision of construction and renovations; the development and management of leasing and marketing activities; administration and operations. Among her most notable accomplishments was the successful selling, leasing, and managing of Gainesville's historic landmark, the Seagle Building. Further accomplishments include the redevelopment of and leasing of the Gainesville Mall as well as the re-leasing of Verde Plaza (formerly Pic-N-Save). During the mid and late 1980's, Betsy demonstrated her marketing expertise by developing a regional sales network of over 1,000 brokers who raised in excess of 30 million dollars for investing in Florida properties.
Betsy's leadership, high ethical standards and commitment to excellence led to her selection as the first woman president of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. She was also the first woman appointed to a bank board in Alachua County, Florida. She has served as the Florida President and Southeastern States Governor of the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute. She has also served on numerous local and national committees for the National Association of Realtors.®
