Beverly R. Barshop has been active in the San Antonio real estate industry since 1986 focusing on the leasing, sales and development of retail and mixed-use projects. She is a native San Antonian and first generation American who grew up speaking Spanish in a household where both parents owned their own businesses and expected their children to work at an early age. Holding her salesman’s license out of high school and her broker’s license out of college, she started her career with Coldwell Banker Commercial. There she developed strong relationships with area developers who frequently called upon her to work on projects that required an emphasis on tenant mix including The Collection at Broadway and Sunset and Huebner Oaks. In 1991 she joined Roalson Interest, specializing in land acquisition and sales. Prior to joining RFM Commercial in 2003, she ran her own firm for 10 years primarily representing high-end specialty retailers while raising her 3 boys.
Currently, she is involved in leasing several shopping centers managed by RFM in addition to representing tenants and buyers requiring expansion needs. She also handles the disposition of several land parcels and commercial buildings, and continues to identify key areas for new development.
Beverly is a 1984 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Marketing. She is a member of ICSC and her community involvement includes having served on the boards of Any Baby Can, Library Foundation, Jewish Federation of SA, San Antonio Academy, and Goodwill Industries.
