Blake Tartt III is an urban visionary with a unique blend of social, design and financial acumen. President and Chief Executive Officer of New Regional Planning, Blake is widely recognized for his ability to conceptualize, active and accelerate innovative real estate developments. He has specialized expertise in properties that invigorate the urban environment from commercial and retail properties to leading edge mixed use and master planned communities.
In 1991, Blake formed New Regional Planning, Inc. Under his leadership, NRP has become an innovative force in the redefinition of real estate investment, development and management. Notable projects include the remerchandising of Post Oak Plaza, repositioning of Northline Mall, the $700 million redevelopment of Houston’s premier urban center, Memorial City. Virtually every urban center in the Greater Houston Area has the “Tartt Touch” on it from Downtown to the Galleria and Greenspoint to Memorial City.
Active in Houston’s civic, arts and philanthropic communities, Blake is a member of the Houston Planning Commission, Director of the Houston Police Foundation, avid supporter of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Christian High School and the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
Blake graduated from the University of Mississippi where today, he serves as the President of the Business School’s Real Estate Advisory Board.
A lifelong resident of Houston, Blake travels extensively with an insatiable pursuit of quality urban experiences to bring home to his beloved city. He also enjoys time with family and friends at his home on Galveston Island, where he is actively engaged in the vision for the future of the state’s premier port city.
