Brad Simmel uses his broad experience to provide comprehensive acquisition and disposition assignments, including portfolio dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and synthetic leases. Simmel has 10 year’s experience in investment sales and has been involved in transactions throughout the United States, with a concentration in Atlanta and the Southeast. Prior to joining Modus Capital, Simmel served as a Vice President at CBRE, managing director in Newmark Capital’s Atlanta office. While at Newmark, Simmel received the 2003 Atlanta Deal of the Year Runner-Up award. Before joining Newmark, Simmel was a managing director with the Investment Properties Group at CBRE. His team focused on investment activities worldwide, and Simmel had specific responsibility for the firm’s investment and multi-family activities throughout the Eastern United States. His work included coordinating the activities of 60 investment professionals with exclusive listings valued at more than $2.1 billion and sales of over $1.6 billion annually. Simmel also held a position as director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Apartment Group using his experience in both multi-family transactions and development land sales. In addition, he worked at McCann-Erickson as a senior account executive for Coca-Cola, USA. Simmel has experience with a wide array of organizations within the real estate capital markets, including private investors, syndicators, pension funds (and their advisors), REITs, life insurance companies, developers, and opportunity funds. He earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Duke University.
