Bio
As Principal and Managing Director of the Pittsburgh office, Brad Totten is responsible for delivering agency leasing, tenant representation and corporate advisory services for owners and users of real estate. Prior to joining Avison Young in June 2012, Brad had 28 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry. Mr. Totten has been responsible for the leasing and marketing of several major office buildings in the Pittsburgh Central Business District and has represented the leasing interests of many corporate tenants. Mr. Totten handled the day-to-day leasing activity for over 20 years at PPG Place representing the ownership interests of PPG Industries and The Hillman Company. Mr. Totten also led the agency leasing effort of K & L Gates Center and prior to that the historic Koppers Building.
Mr. Totten has recently provided Tenant Evaluation Services to companies such as Kennametal, Northwestern Mutual Life and Resco. Mr. Totten has also advised several Pittsburgh-based companies in their evaluation and lease of World Headquarter operations including H.J. Heinz, Del Monte Foods, Calgon Corporation, PPG Industries and Federated Investors.
Mr. Totten has been a member of the marketing teams representing ownership in the sale of several landmark CBD office buildings, including PPG Place (1.5 MSF), the Koppers Building (356,000 SF) and the H.W. Oliver Building (470,000SF).
Education
A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Totten earned his BA in History from The College of the Holy Cross in 1984. Mr. Totten is a licensed Real Estate Associate Broker in the State of Pennsylvania and he holds the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (“CCIM”).

Mr. Totten and his wife, Colleen, reside in Hampton Township where they raised their 5 children.
