Carl holds his Virginia Real Estate Broker license, as well as the CCIM designation – The Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute’s highest achievement for a combination of classroom study and actual work experience. Carl also holds a B.A. degree in Government, awarded from Hampden-Sydney College, and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), attending many conferences each year. With over 25 years of experience in retail leasing and sales, Carl has leased or sold in excess of 2.7 million square feet of retail property. Responsibilities throughout his career cut a wide swath across retail transactions, to include renovating, expanding and re-merchandising shopping centers, pre-leasing of proposed centers, out-parcel sales and leasing, site selection and development, tenant representation, single tenant build-to-suits and shopping center sales. Carl’s distinguished list of clients served includes A & N Stores, Allied Fashion, Burlington Coat, Big Lots, Captech, Cato, Country Cookin’, Dollar Tree, Duke University, Family Dollar, Food Lion, Fresh Market, Goodwill, Jared Jewelry, Kroger, Lowes, McDonalds, Merchants Tire, Northern Tool, One Price Clothing, Rental Works, Sagebrush Steakhouse, Schewel Furniture, Shades of Light, TJ Maxx and Tractor Supply Company.
