Carnell Scruggs, CCIM serves as a Managing Director for SVN/The Genesis Group in Nashville,Tennessee specializing in the sales, leasing of retail properties and investment properties.
Scruggs has over 30 years of retail leasing, tenant representation and investment experience. He has participated in over two hundred career transactions representing business owners, investors, institutional owners and Real Estate Investment Trust (REITS).
Prior to joining SVN, Scruggs served as principle owner of a boutique brokerage firm based in Nashville, Tennessee, where he represented business owners, retailers and investors in retail and investment transactions. Previously, he served as an associate at NAI Nashville (now Colliers International) where he assisted owners and investors in acquisition, disposition and leasing of retail properties in the Southeast.
Scruggs career highlights includes representing the city of Nashville in the acquisition of land assembled for the billion – dollar Music City Convention Center in downtown.
Active in the commercial real estate industry, Scruggs is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) where he served as co-chair of the Alliance program. He holds the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the Commercial Real Estate Institute. Scruggs also is a member of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) where he is a certified right of way agent and is a member of the Industrial Revenue Board (IDB) of Nashville Metropolitan Government.
Carnell is licensed in Tennessee, Alabama , Georgia and Mississippi.
