Bio
Carol Mackey, owner of CMC Real Estate Group, holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a law degree from the Ohio State University. She is a licensed attorney and real estate broker in the State of Ohio. While living in Columbus, Carol served as vice president of a large commercial office and retail development company where she honed her ability in sales, marketing, and property management. She later became partner in a central Ohio development and brokerage company. In the mid-1990’s Carol and her husband were drawn to the natural beauty and rural living that the Hocking Hills area has to offer. After buying their home on the outskirts of Logan, Carol launched CMC Real Estate Group. CMC Real Estate Group is founded on the principals of service excellence, dedication to clients and ethical standards of business. Carol is a member of several local and national organizations including the Columbus and National Board of Realtors, the Logan-Hocking Chamber of Commerce, the Hocking Hills Tourism Association, the Hocking Soil and Water Conservation District and the Hocking County Farm Bureau. She has also served on the boards of Hocking College, The Bowen House Community Arts and Education Center, the Logan Town Center, the Lancaster Festival, and the Lancaster Port Authority. With such an active presence in local organizations, Carol has set up a reputation of professional excellence and commitment to bettering her community. Carol lives with her husband and their fur babies in their wooded home and enjoys the quiet of the surrounding nature. Her passions include historic preservation, music, quiet walks, and community arts- especially for the developmentally disabled and all the students at her husband’s music studio.
