Bio
Catherine “Cathey” Kuo is a real estate advisor, investor, and entrepreneur. She has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate investments, property management, commercial leasing, investment sales, and 1031 exchanges.
As a business owner and investor herself, Cathey has an intuitive grasp of the real estate market and an immense desire to help others fulfill their dreams of entrepreneurship and maximize the value of their investment portfolios through successful acquisitions and dispositions. After 10 years as a licensed real estate professional, the vast majority of Cathey’s clients are referrals from past clients, residential real estate colleagues, and friends from her social circles who are initially drawn to her friendly, honest, and warm nature but ultimately trust and work with after experiencing her keen business sense, attention to detail, market knowledge, and negotiation skills.
Cathey began her career in real estate working alongside her mother, who has her own successful 30 year track record in the industry as an agent, broker, and investor. This early start provided her with a visceral understanding of the industry as she began to analyze investment opportunities since she was a teenager. After Cathey received her Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) in Real Estate from Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business in New York City, she began her professional career in commercial real estate in Manhattan as an associate with CBRE. She was accepted into the prestigious Wheel Program at CBRE's Midtown Manhattan office. Upon completion of the program, she worked as an office leasing specialist and specialized in serving as a consultant to Nonprofit Organizations as a member of the firm's Nonprofit Practice Group.
Cathey relocated to Las Vegas in 2014 to begin investing in real estate and get licensed as a broker to assist local business owners and landlords with their commercial real estate needs. She has built an excellent track record with local business owners and landlords over the years and currently handles leasing for just under 100,000 SF of office and retail space in the city. In addition to servicing her clients, Cathey serves as a resource to a number of business owners and colleagues both directly as an advisor and indirectly by providing general market insights through the Forbes Real Estate council, where she contributes regularly to their expert panel articles.
In addition to real estate, Cathey is also a small business owner herself as co-founder of Kyou Beauty, a salon and spa in Las Vegas’ bustling Chinatown district. She is also an active member of the local community and its charity organizations. In addition to serving as an OCA Board Member, she also consistently supports and volunteers with a number of other charity organizations.
As a child of first generation immigrants from Taiwan, Cathey is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and looks forward to opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in Asia. She is thrilled to be an equity partner in Elite Homes – Christie’s International Real Estate and the opportunity to bring true global exposure to the Las Vegas luxury and investment markets through the company's affiliate and auction house networks.
