Cheryle Toy joined Divaris in early 2014. She has more than two decades of commercial real estate development, transaction and project management experience. She is involved in multiple sectors of the industry including retail brokerage representing both tenants and landlords and in the office and industrial markets. Cheryle, and her partner Read Goode, are the only commercial brokers/fee developers in their market with extensive experience in both fields as Principals. This partnership and skill set allows their practice to cover a broad range of services from leasing and sales brokerage through land development and redevelopment of properties. They work for many closely held families and businesses throughout the region to position their real estate assets to maximize value while minimizing the risks inherent with development. In April 2018, Read and Cheryle’s redevelopment of the Handcraft Building in the Scotts Addition area of Richmond won the GRACRE award for “Best Project of the Year” for 2017. Prior to joining Divaris, Cheryle was President of Clocktower Advisory Services, where she performed construction, project and property services for owners and developers in the Richmond area. Cheryle also worked for CCA industries/Riverstone Properties for over 20 years as a Paralegal and Real Estate Manager. She worked directly with the principals on transactions worldwide. Cheryle holds an A.S. Degree in Legal Assisting as well as a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and Urban Land Development from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a Virginia licensed Erosion & Sediment Control Inspector.
