Bio
Chris Lange joined Newmark’s greater Philadelphia brokerage team as an executive managing director, specializing in tenant representation, the leasing and sales of office/industrial properties, and placing equity alongside Newmark’s debt and structured finance team. Chris has deep experience representing top tenants and institutions in Center City Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs as well as managing large international portfolios for some of his clients.
Over the course of his career, Chris has represented some of Philadelphia’s biggest names like Beneficial Bank on its 100,000 SF move to 1818 Market Street, Sunoco on a 230,000 SF sublease at 1735 Market Street, The Please Touch Museum on the sale of a half-block of real state in the Logan Square section of Philadelphia, DLA Piper on a 50,000 SF renewal at One Liberty, AmeriHealth on a 25,000 SF transaction in Wilmington, and American College on a high-profile 150,000 SF building purchase from Brandywine in King of Prussia.
In 2020, Chris successfully represented Hamilton Lane on a 135,000 SF build-to-suit corporate headquarters deal with Oliver Tyrone Pulver and AREP at Seven Tower Bridge in Conshohocken, PA. This transaction was honored as one of the Best Real Estate Deals of the Year by the Philadelphia Business Journal in 2020. Chris has many other high-profile tenant representation clients not mentioned above and has been involved in millions of square feet of tenant representation transactions in and around the Philadelphia region over the course of his career.
Chris is actively involved with non-profit, philanthropic and community work throughout the region. He is the Vice President and one of the founding board members of the Cobbs Creek Restoration and Community Foundation (CCRCF). CCRCF’s mission is to restore the public golf course to a world-class facility, and to use the finished product as a vehicle to provide support and educational opportunities to youth in the surrounding area.
Chris is a former Division 1 golfer and still competes at the amateur level, having most recently played in the 2018 USGA Mid-Amateur at The Country Club of Charlotte. He is also the Co-Chairman/Co-Founder of the Fuga Thompson Memorial Golf Tournament, an event designed to commemorate two great men while raising money for medical research for blood cancers.
