Bio
Chris has had a successful career in real estate, with a particular focus on helping individuals achieve the American Dream of property ownership. He has been a REALTOR® for 36 years and currently works as an executive broker with The Goff Group Real Estate Group in Hot Springs, Arkansas. His expertise lies in residential and commercial brokerage. One of Chris' notable achievements was serving as the President of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) in 2015. The NAR is the largest trade association in America, representing over one million REALTORS® involved in various aspects of the real estate industry. During his presidency, Chris advocated for federal policies that support and strengthen Americans’ ability to own, buy, and sell real estate. He also testified before Congress on important issues such as FHA reform, emphasizing the importance of accessible, affordable, and safe mortgage credit. Mr. Polychron is a firm believer that thriving communities are connected to stable and sound real estate markets. Under his leadership, he launched an enhanced REALTOR® Safety Program to empower and educate real estate professionals about the potential risks associated with their profession. This program has reached hundreds of thousands of practitioners, equipping them with knowledge and resources to protect themselves in today’s world. In addition to his role as NAR President, Chris has been a member of the NAR board of directors since 2002. He served as the president of the Arkansas Realtors Association in 2003 and was honored as the Arkansas REALTOR® of the Year in 1996. Polychron was also recognized with the University of Arkansas’ Walton College of Business Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. Before entering the real estate industry, Polychron held the position of President at Grand National Bank in Hot Springs from 1979 to 1984. He is actively involved in his local community and has served as the co-chair of the Our Roads Now initiative in the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Transportation Committee. He has also been the president of the local Greek Orthodox Church since the late 1990s.
