Chris Stamets, Partner, joined Western Retail Advisors in 2004. With over 30 years of commercial real estate experience, Chris specializes in national, regional and local tenant representation, assisting in local expansion and national rollouts. Throughout his career, Chris has represented such retailers as PetSmart, Sports Authority, Top Golf, Baywood Hotels, Guitar Center, Cobblestone Auto Spa, Sun Devil Auto, First Bank, David’s Bridal, Mattress Firm, Vitamin Shoppe, Van’s Golf Shops, Wendy’s and Torchy’s Tacos. In addition to tenant representation, Chris excels in crafting creative solutions for Landlords and Retailers to leverage excess space and land. He has designed strategic merchandising, leasing, and selling strategies for companies including Vestar, DMB, VanTrust Real Estate and Nationwide Realty.
After graduating from University of Kansas, Chris launched his accomplished career as a retail broker at Grubb & Ellis, where he twice achieved the honor of top retail producer. Subsequently, as Director of Real Estate for computer retailer CompUSA, Chris developed market strategies, negotiated transactions, oversaw store construction and coordinated real estate dispositions in the western United States. Following his time at CompUSA, Chris opened the Phoenix branch of Staubach Retail Services, and earned the company’s prestigious MVP award for outstanding leadership and service.
Chris is active with the International Council of Shopping Centers, serves as Life Member of the Phoenix Thunderbirds, and is a member of the Foundation Board of Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Chris and his wife Deborah reside in Scottsdale, Arizona with their three children.
