Chris Tecu, Principal, recently joined Avison Young to focus on industrial brokerage services while helping to enhance the company's capital markets capabilities. In a career spanning nearly 20 years, Mr. Tecu has acted as a broker and owner within the Industrial Real Estate industry. As a commercial real estate industry veteran, Mr. Tecu’s expertise includes working with Corporate Users and Institutional Owners within the local, national and international marketplaces. An active member of the Chicago chapter of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers (AIRE) and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Mr. Tecu has represented an array of institutional owners and tenants including AMB, Prologis, TA Realty, Invesco, First Industrial Realty Trust, CenterPoint Properties, Ryder Logistics, USA Bouquet, Duke Realty and Sitex Realty Group. During his career, Mr. Tecu has negotiated more than 80 million square feet of industrial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leasing transactions. Mr. Tecu has a proven track record in the Tenant Representation, Landlord Representation and Investment Sales sectors as a result of facilitating over $1 billion worth of real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Mr. Tecu served as Vice President of Investments for CenterPoint Properties’ Chicago office, as Vice President of Industrial Brokerage at CBRE and as Vice President of Industrial Brokerage for Trammell Crow prior to their merger with CBRE. During his tenure with CenterPoint, Mr. Tecu managed CenterPoint’s acquisitions in the Gulf Coast region, particularly in the Houston marketplace and was responsible for the purchase of more than $1 billion of industrial properties nationally.
