Damien Carriero is an expert in the full spectrum of facilities for seniors housing, specializing in seniors housing assets, specifically assisted living and memory care throughout the US. Damien has represented local, regional, national, and international owner/operators, investors, developers as well as Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), creating a customized solution for their real estate and financial needs. Prior to joining Colliers National Seniors Housing Group, Damien Carriero was a Regional Director for one of Florida’s largest providers of Medicaid Diversion. He was responsible for identifying and recruiting new providers as well as negotiating contracts, training, retention, monitoring, and supporting providers in the network. He also developed new provider network areas and worked closely with the Department of Elder Affairs and AHCA to ensure providers complied with regulatory laws. Damien Carriero graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Finance. His last semester was spent overseas in China, focusing on international marketing and finance. While attending the University of South Florida, he worked as an intern with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services where he enhanced his underwriting skills and passion for real estate. After graduating he was invited to join Marcus & Millichap’s Sales Intern program. Damien worked with a senior broker in a mentee/mentor capacity. This process usually takes approximately two to three years to complete before individuals are considered qualified to be given Sales Agent status. Damien was able to complete the entire process within two years. After only one year of becoming a Sales Agent, he was presented the Marcus & Millichap’s Rookie of the Year Award.
