Mr. Richards was born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He has been married to Judy Kirk Richards since 1973. Mrs. Richards taught elementary school in the Upland Unified School District for 30 years and is now a happily retired grandmother. Their daughter, Kendra Leigh Miller is married and works at KW Commercial - Inland Empire Division. The Los Angeles Times named Mr. Richards the 3rd most influential person in the Inland Empire. Dan's 40 years of Commercial Real Estate Experience has covered a wide range of of projects including lead in a group that brokered the sale of the iconic Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. Dan has created over forty-five successful LLCS that have purchase, developed, owned and managed commercial project including several housing ventures. Mr. Richards’ unique qualifications as both a leading Real Estate Broker and successful Real Estate Developer enable him to provide investment and development real estate services to his clients that often combine those two fields. As Chairman of the Board, Dan leads the KW Commercial Inland Empire team to provide a variety of development and real estate investment services to its clients through 1031-Exchanges, Trust and Endowment investments and Charitable Remainder Trusts, in addition to Commercial Real Estate Sales and Leasing. Mr. Richards invests in commercial real estate throughout the Inland Empire and across the country, through Kendrew Development Company, which is named after his children. He is also the Co-Managing General Partner of the Colonies Crossroads in Upland, a 440 Acre Master Planned Community encompassing 1,000,000 square feet of retail and approximately 1,100 residential units on the 210 freeway. Dan and his wife are active philanthropists in a variety of Inland Empire Non-profit including San Antonio Regional Hospital, Foothill Family Shelter, Haynes Center, Shriners Hospital and his private foundation, the Andrew Winfield Richards Foundation.
